No prošlost ubrzo kuca na vrata života obojice i još jednom Barcelona otkriva svoje dugo skrivane tajne koje će promijeniti mnoge živote.
Anđelova igra me oduševila i završila dovoljno napeto da nisam željela napustiti Barcelonu i odmah sam nastavila sa čitanjem serijala i Zatočenika neba. I ovaj put me priča odmah uvukla.

The Prisoner of Heaven – Carlos Ruiz Zafon
The story continues in Barcelona, 1957, in the world of Sempere, in their bookstore. Daniel Sempere is all grown up, married to Bea and has an adorable baby Julian. Their close friend Fermín Romero de Torres is also preparing for the upcoming wedding. But the past soon knocks on the door of both of their lives and once again Barcelona reveals its long-hidden secrets that will change many lives.
The Angel’s Game delighted me and left me on a cliffhanger so I didn’t want to leave Barcelona and I immediately continued reading the series and The Prisoner of Heaven. And this time as well, the story immediately drew me in. The beginning is interesting and tense, maybe a little less magical than the previous two sequels. Then, around the middle, the plot slowed down until the last fifty pages, which I read holding my breath. Although the writing style is still wonderful and in Zafon’s specific style, The Prisoner of Heaven is a very quick read and somehow, in my opinion, it is the simplest compared to the previous two sequels.
For me, The Prisoner of Heaven did not surpass The Angel’s Game, but if you are a fan of dark gothic atmosphere, intrigue and mystery, with a touch of love story, then you definitely have a recommendation from me. And I am off to completing the series with The Labyrinth of the Spirits and find out all the secrets that the great Zafon has prepared for us.
