No uz njezinu toksičnu i manipulativnu majku to nije nimalo lak zadatak.

S druge strane ovo nije obična feel good ljubavna priča. Puno je više od toga. Ona govori o teškim toksičnim vezama, romantičnim i obiteljskim, o pronalaženju sebe i prihvaćanju sebe takvima kakvi jesmo, o učenju kako drugima reći NE i stavljanja sebe na prvo mjesto.

Just the Way You Are – Beth Moran

At the age of twenty-nine, Olivia Tennyson realizes that her life is not at all the way she imagined it to be at the age of sixteen, and she decides to change it. But with her toxic and manipulative mother, this is not an easy task at all.

The characters are extremely lovable, I connected with them very quickly, loved them and cheered for them. I hold a special place in my heart for a recently discovered type of character that I just love – the old man who is portrayed as a grumpy, angry character, but actually hides a big heart. The chemistry between Ollie and Sam is unavoidable and I honestly had a very hard time putting this book down.

On the other hand, this is not an ordinary feel good love story. It’s much more than that. It talks about difficult toxic relationships, both romantic and family, about finding yourself and accepting yourself as you are, about learning to say NO to others and putting yourself first.

I think Just the Way You Are is a perfect book to spend the upcoming International Women’s Day with. 😊
