Dakle definitivno nisam očekivala da će ovaj fantasy roman dovesti do toga da istražujem sukob između Japana i Kine i gnjusne zločine koji su počinjeni.
Rat makova je zabavna, napeta, odlično pisana knjiga sa likovima koji će vas odmah osvojiti i od koje se nećete moći odvojiti. Osim što me zabavila ova me knjiga u nekim svojim dijelovima i jako uznemirila – nisam mogla čitati opise svih onih zločina i gadosti koji su počinjeni, da budem iskrena preletjela sam ih.
Knjiga je podijeljena na dva dijela. Prvi dio je Harry Potter vibe, YA, ugodno i fora. Drugi dio je na trenutke baš težak i gnjusan, ali sveukupno je i dalje odlična jer je moja osjetljivost moj problem.
Čitajući sam cijelo vrijeme razmišljala kako moram odmah nastaviti čitati nastavak, ali nakon što sam okrenula posljednju stranicu shvatila sam da mi je ipak potreban mali oporavak.
Od mene ogromna preporuka uz upozorenje za one osjetljive poput mene.

The Poppy War – R.F. Kuang
So I definitely did not expect that this fantasy novel would lead to me investigating the conflict between Japan and China and the heinous crimes that were committed.
The Poppy War is a fun, suspenseful, well-written book with characters that will win you over immediately and that you won’t be able to tear yourself away from. Apart from the fact that this book amused me, in some parts it upset me a lot – I couldn’t read the descriptions of all the crimes and atrocities that were committed, to be honest I skimmed through them.
The book is divided into two parts. The first part is Harry Potter vibe, YA, pleasant and fun. The second part is really hard and disgusting at times, but overall it’s still great because my sensitivity is my problem.
The whole time I was reading, I thought that I had to immediately continue reading the sequel, but after turning the last page, I realized that I actually need a little recovery.
A huge recommendation from me with a warning for those who are sensitive like me.
