Među najdražim knjigama su mi one iz kojih ujedno i učim o nekoj kulturi i narodu te njihovim običajima. A ako je uz to još i priča napeta onda definitivno zaslužuje moju potpunu pažnju. A Krađa je sve to pa i više.
Krađa se temelji na stvarnim događajima o suvremenom životu autohtonog naroda Saami. Elsu upoznajemo sa samo devet godina i s obzirom da odrastamo s njom vrlo lako nam se podvuče pod kožu. Autorica je stvorila nemali broj divnih i kompleksnih likova, ali i onih za kojima uopće nećete žaliti.
Fantastična knjiga koja je ispunila sva moja očekivanja i čak ih i nadmašila. Očekivala sam emotivnu priču o autohtonom narodu Saami. Očekivala sam da će biti informativna. Ali ono što nisam očekivala je da će biti toliko napeta da se ne mogu odvojiti od nje i da kroz dijelove doslovno letim jer ne mogu dočekati saznati što se dogodilo.
Šokirala me je ova Švedska! Razočarali su me. Nezamislivo mi je da usred Europe rasizam ne samo da živi nego pokazuje svoje najgore lice. Ali nažalost tako je.
Nikako nemojte zaobići ovu knjigu! Ja se veselim ekranizaciji i nadam prijevodu nastavka.

Among my favourite books are those from which I also learn about a certain culture and people and their customs. And if the story is also suspenseful, then it definitely deserves my full attention. And Stolen is all that and more.
Stolen is based on real events about the contemporary life of the indigenous Saami people. We meet Elsa when she is only nine years old, and since we grow up with her, she gets under our skin very easily. The author has created quite a number of wonderful and complex characters, but also those that you will not miss at all.
A fantastic book that met all my expectations and even exceeded them. I was expecting an emotional story about the indigenous Saami people. I expected it to be informative. But what I didn’t expect was that it would be so tense that I wouldn’t be able to stop reading it and that I would literally be running through some parts because I couldn’t wait to find out what happened.
This Sweden shocked me! They disappointed me. I never dreamed that in the middle of Europe racism not only lives but shows its worst face. And unfortunately it does.
Don’t miss out on this book! I am looking forward to the adaptation and hope for the translation of the sequel.
