When ideal characters, great chemistry, gelato and 80s and 90s movies starring Meg Ryan come together, there’s nothing left to do but tuck in and enjoy. Yes, at times it’s a predictable love story and it goes in the direction we all expect, but Josie Silver’s writing is so good that it didn’t bother me at all. She even managed to surprise me a couple of times. New York in autumn and winter is beautifully described and you will enjoy its streets in no time. The author also included some more serious and difficult topics, but they were handled in accordance with this genre.
If you are looking for a warm love story, at times a little serious, after which you will want to watch Sleepless in Seattle and eat huge amounts of gelato, then look no further.
