Priča prati dva vremenska razdoblja – nestanak dječaka prije nekoliko godina, a sada i njegove sestre. Puno likova, priča ispričana iz nekoliko perspektiva, možda u početku pomalo zbunjujuća dok se borite sa svim tim imenima, ali jednom kada pohvatate tko je tko čeka vas prava knjiška poslastica.
Napeto, zanimljivo, šokantno i izvrsno napisano. Vrhunski dočarana atmosfera. Roman od kojeg sam se odvajala samo na poslu, hvatala svaku slobodnu sekundu i nakon dugo vremena jurila kroz tekst. I iskreno? Napravila sam nešto što nisam još od Harryja Pottera – odlistala sam par stranica unaprijed jer nisam mogla izdržati od znatiželje.
I zašto onda nije petica? Zbog kraja. Funkcionira, ima smisla, ali nakon ovakve priče i stila – očekivala sam više.
Hoću li ju svejedno svima preporučiti? Apsolutno! I jedva čekam razgovore o kraju 😊

The God of the Woods – Liz Moore
The story follows two timelines – the disappearance of a boy a few years ago, and now his sister. Lots of characters, a story told from several POVS, maybe a bit confusing at first as you struggle with all those names, but once you figure out who is who, a real treat awaits you.
Tense, interesting, shocking and brilliantly written. Superbly evoked atmosphere. A novel that I only stopped reading while working, seizing every free second and after a very long time I caught myself rushing through the text. And honestly? I did something I haven’t done since reading Harry Potter – I flipped a few pages ahead because I couldn’t resist out of curiosity.
Then why isn’t it a five-star-book? Because of the ending. It works, it makes sense, but after a story like this and a style like this – I expected more.
Would I still recommend it to everyone? Absolutely! And I can’t wait to talk about the ending 😊
