Boja… i sjećanje… i ljubav.”

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, Jack Thorne

“Harry, there is never a perfect answer in this messy, emotional world. Perfection is beyond the reach of humankind, beyond the reach of magic. In every shining moment of happiness is that drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe.”

Nineteen years after the last battle, Harry Potter works in the Ministry of Magic, is married to Ginny and is the father of three children. The youngest son Albus begins to attend the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at Hogwarts and at the same time struggles with the burden of his famous father’s name. With the awakening of the ghosts of the past, the future of the world as they know it is again threatened…

This was a wonderful return to the world of Harry Potter and Hogwarts. I enjoyed every moment and forgot about the world around me. I’m one of those fans who, when she loves something, loves it without reservation, without criteria, and I always want to return to that world, to evoke those feelings that awaken in me. Yes, yes, I’m one of those people who loves both the series Joey (a spin-off of Friends if you don’t know), and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life – never enough characters that I love.

Although this was my second reading, I enjoyed it as much as the first time. There is no shortage of excitement and tension, and the favorite characters are together again. I even experienced some parts much more intensely than in 2016 when I read them for the first time. I love the thoughts and messages, and the relationships between the characters that are conveyed through the Harry Potter series.

What everyone sees as the biggest problem of this sequel is the form in which it was written, which is the script. Personally, it didn’t bother me at all and I got into the story without any problems but keep that in mind when you start this adventure.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

“Those we love never truly leave us, Harry. There are things that death cannot touch.”
